National Sales ManagerLocation: BristolSalary: CompetitiveWe are a global leader in the development and supply of cable and pipe locators and other test/inspection equipment used by utility companies to help install, protect and maintain their infrastructure networks. We are currently seeking to recruit a highly ambitious, driven and experienced National Sales Manager to lead a successful UK Sales Team.Reporting into the Regional Sales Director, the NSMs primary role is to achieve revenue, profitability and market share growth; ensuring alignment between strategic goals for the region and the activities of the team.This role is both strategic and hands:on, with the management of key accounts a core responsibility alongside developing new relationships, both directly and through distribution. In addition, the NSM provides regular feedback to the business on product requirements and potential new markets.We are looking for a high calibre candidate who can operate in a highly dynamic, demanding, yet rewarding environment. To be successful in this role you will ideally have related industry experience; have led a sales team and delivered demonstrable success.National Sales Manager Principal duties and responsibilities:* Achieving sales results within varied sales channels* Developing sales strategy, leading execution of growth plans* Developing and implementing promotional programs, pricing and sales policies* Partnering with the sales team to assess opportunities, develop territory growth strategies, and create forecast models* Measuring teams performance, creating accountability, providing regular feedback* Assisting team in selecting new distributors and assessing existing distributors effectiveness* Assisting in new product rollouts* Able to spend time in the Head Office as required to support financial month end sales cycles.Knowledge, skills and abilities needed to become our National Sales Manager:* Highly developed leadership and sales skills, with a strong sales management and operational background* Good analytical and problem:solving skills with excellent skills in persuasion and negotiation.* Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the sales process, using lead and lag measures to drive performance* Logical, organized, adaptable and resourceful.
