                                   As Red Kite Special Academy prepares to open in September 2018 we are looking for an excellent individual to undertake and grow the role of PA/Finance Administrator working closely with the Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership Group.We are looking for a dynamic, upbeat and friendly person who is willing to go above and beyond to ensure that this school gets off to a flying start! Experience in a school is not entirely necessary but an understanding of the processes and day to day working of a school would be an advantage. We are seeking someone who is hardworking, committed, knowledgeable, approachable and above all able to work under pressure and remain upbeat!We are looking for someone to start this role from the 1st July (earlier if possible) where they will be based at Kingsley Special School in Kettering until the new school is open. PLEASE ONLY APPLY VIA THE SCHOOL APPLICATION FORM.JOB DESCRIPTION Name:     Red Kite Special Academy – Kingsley Learning FoundationPersonal Assistant to the Headteacher / Pupil Affairs Administrative Assistant/Finance administrator – this is a combined role of approx. 50% 50% on each role; although at times of the year this is subject to change. Hours: Full time 8.30-5.00pm - (Holidays will only be taken during school closures or following prior arrangement with the Headteacher and governors) SALARY SCP 23 (H) NCC -£21,268 General duties: §  To work as a member of the Administrative Team and take on roles and responsibilities as part of the team and attend team meetings     §  Provide a warm and welcoming reception for all visitors to, and correspondents with, the school and  maintaining high quality presentation in correspondence and communication §  To provide secretarial support to the Headteacher §  To carry out general office duties, including filing, general typing, photocopying as required and receptionist/telephonist work §  To provide general finance administrative support to facilitate the efficient and effective use of the school’s budget, under the direction of senior staff and the Executive Finance Officer  Responsibilities:  ·         maintaining and managing the pupil database including assessment data·         ensuring appropriate staff have knowledge of any changes in pupil data·         completing external returns - including absence, assessment, PLASC, SLASC·         managing the annual statutory assessment procedures ensuring that all statutory obligations are fulfilled ·         making new files, maintaining filing system·         managing attendance records·         processing statutory review reports, managing the statutory review timetable and processing  minutes of statutory review meetings and all correspondence involved·         completing the administrative facets of the School Self-Evaluation Framework following direction by the Headteacher or School Leadership Group·         updating the School Improvement Plan following direction by the Headteacher or School Leadership Group·         arranging post statement planning meetings/pre-admission meetings and correspondence involved·         typing minutes of meetings·         managing neighbourhood nursery admissions in line with LEA & school policy·         managing the Headteacher’s diary·         managing correspondence/minutes as required·         To actively participate in school policies, practices and procedures to safeguard all children·         Place and process orders and invoices, as directed·         Check incoming stock deliveries and arrange for distribution and storage·         Arrange payment of invoices, including checking supplier statements, referring any issues to senior staff·         Where appropriate, maintain financial records and undertake financial administration·         Responsible for petty cash and banking of cash·         Enter income and expenditure on the finance system, as instructed.
