The aim being to maximise profit whilst minimising costs. Must ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company’s standards and staff are fully versed on the targets and must ensure excellent customer care standards are met. You are must be confident in approaching and engaging with customers and an excellant communicator. Core Duties To ensure the smooth running of the shop, and maintaining the shop standards by:?Participating in the day-to-day running of the shop.?Keeping the shop and displays clean and tidy at all times.?Keeping the stockrooms orderly at all times.?Operating the till and accurately handling cash, cheques and credit/debit cards transactions.?Maintaining accuracy of signs, price and size information throughout the store, correct and report to the Retail Manager.?Follow cashing up procedures report discrepancies?Assist in changing displays of shop stock.?Being vigilant at all times and to help minimise stock loss.2. Customer ServiceTo ensure that excellent customer service is demonstrated at all times by:?Developing a good knowledge of all the schools and their uniforms and all shop stock,?Maintaining accuracy in all aspects of customer service and advice.?Informing the public about the benefits of school uniform being available from Uniform Direct and developing new business leads..?Respond to general customer enquiries and complaints received in person, by phone or email – report to Retail Manager3. General?Ensure any issues concerning customer care are reported to the Retail Manager.?Comply to high standards of personal presentation for dress and hygiene.?Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are effectively carried out and report any concerns to the Retail Manager.4.
