It forms part of the wider Marketing function comprising communications, brand and content & conversation.It is an exciting time for us as we explore ways to meet both brand and trade objectives within our communications, and strive to join up the efforts of our specialist disciplines to deliver seamless customer journeys.The Role - Paid Search ManagerThe role is accountable for supporting the Paid Search Lead driving the strategy to support the Tesco business requirements. You will need to work with your peers to ensure the strategy is highly customer focused and delivered accurately, on time and to budget. The strategy and approach will support requirements across brand and business teams, including both grocery and non-food.We aim to deliver the most relevant communications to our customers at the most relevant times, joining up across platform and device to create cohesive and efficient customer journeys.Cross functional working will be critical to success in the role, forming strong relationships with Customer, Product and Channel teams as well as key agency partners. Achieving the right balance to support the objectives of all three internal areas will require an open and collaborative approach.Key responsibilitiesWork with Paid Search agency and be responsible for briefing, supporting and monitoring activity across the specified businessesDirect account management & support in managing search products (including text, shopping, gmail sponsored promotions)Building a strong and effective network of directly managed partnerships and media partnersCooperate and work jointly with teams and other business units to ensure that activities are fully executed and aligned with central objectivesAdopt and test new search engine products, work with Google and Bing to identify upcoming launches and planCreate plans for seasonal campaigns with effective actions and goals.Ensure that the tone of voice and brand positioning of Tesco is upheld across all contentEnsure all of the above is executed whilst following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligenceIdeal CandidateKey Skills and Experience To succeed in this role you'll ideally have experience of working in an online environment, with a strong focus on customer experience:2:1 Degree in any discipline and/or a high intelligence test scoreCustomer focus is critical, we are aiming for a seamless and inspiring customer journey in everything we produceIdeally either agency or client side marketing experience (however not compulsory with other relevant digital experience)A quick learner, you'll be comfortable with numbers and have excellent attention to detail, as well as the drive and enthusiasm to make this role your own.Collaborative mind-set, working with many different teams to achieve resultsFlexible in adapting to fast-changing prioritiesStrong influencing abilityComfortable working with and interpreting data, critical thinking and solving problemsA passion for learning and challenging oneselfAbility to work in a fast-paced, result-oriented environmentExperience using web analytics tools is desirableAn understanding of other digital channels - Affiliates, SEO, Display and social (again this isn't compulsory)PersonalFlexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, creativity, self-starter Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadershipAbility to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation.
