Your constant challenge, working as part of our diverse and multi-skilled AME team, will be to ensure our iconic brands continue to captivate the world tomorrow.Paint Advanced Manufacturing Engineering are responsible for the introduction of new facilities, materials, product lines and current vehicle freshening programs into the Paintshops. As a Paint Programmes Manager you'll be managing and leading a team and working with the wider Manufacturing and AME teams to deliver program projects to cost targets and timing.You'll be responsible for the support and delivery of new product introductions into the Halewood paint shop and other paint shops associated with Halewood based products. Leading a team of engineers for new model programme introduction, from vehicle concept through to volume manufacturing, you'll ensure lessons learnt are captured and actioned to prevent future recurrence.Responsible for feasibility investigations, prototype build support, project planning, project management, and master schedules, you'll also control documentation. Furthermore, you'll manage Capital Expenditure Project tracking, focusing on product and non-product related expenditure in line with policies and procedures. As a department representative, you'll champion continuous improvement activities with regard to safety, quality, and cost, generating a build process strategy for manufacturing and driving the application of Lean Manufacturing Design principles.WHAT YOU'LL NEEDYou'll have a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of Paint Shop processes and facilities along with experience of product development and product launches and of the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques. You'll have managed budgets, suppliers and been involved in supplier selection and tender management. Alongside excellent communication and relationship management skills, you'll also demonstrate strong leadership behaviours.You'll have a strategic and operational mind, meaning you're able to challenge constructively and communicate complex ideas in a business language. You'll have demonstrable project management experience and be data and target driven.Ideally, you'll be educated to a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical or manufacturing / production engineering, along with experience of the Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS). Experience of problem solving tools, virtual build process tools (eg. WERS, GSPAS, AIMS, LQOS and DPA5) and experience of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 compliance requirements would also be beneficial.You'll be based at Halewood Paint Shop, although should be prepared to work in all Jaguar Land Rover Paint shops - with potential of international travel and extended business trips.
