Bodleian Libraries: Staff Development, Human Resources, Osney One Building, Osney Mead, Oxford, OX2 0EWHours: Part time, 20 hours per week (0.55 FTE), to include working on MondaysContract type: PermanentGrade 4: £21,585 - £24,983 per annum (pro-rata)The Bodleian Libraries are seeking a proactive team player to join the Staff Development team as a part-time Administrator. Staff Development is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of learning and development activities that support the development of all staff enabling them to be successful in their roles. Working as a part of a small busy team that delivers over 250 courses annually, your role will be integral to the successful delivery of the range of services currently provided by the Staff Development team.You will organise, manage and prioritise a challenging workload and coordinate allocated training programmes with minimal supervision. Your duties will include: liaising with trainers and delegates, managing bookings, adverts and post course evaluations, booking rooms, equipment and catering and issuing joining instructions. Other duties will include finance work, updating the intranet and staff library work.You will have proven experience in a training/events administration role or similar and be familiar with the key processes involved in administering courses and largescale events. As an experienced team player you will have the ability to work within a multi-skilled team and communicate with a diverse customer base. You will have good interpersonal skills, be highly organised, self-motivated, detail-orientated and possess the ability to work on a variety of projects. You will take a proactive approach to work and your personal development, have a willingness to learn, and be committed to finding new and improved ways of doing things. This role requires some manual handling - setting up training rooms - and also occasional food handling for courses or events. This is a permanent, part-time post working 20 hours per week (0.55 FTE). Your working pattern will include Mondays and also ideally Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - although there is some flexibility. Your start time will be between 8.30am and 9am.Due to the nature of this post, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Services check as well as a financial background check.
