(Contribution statement)As Leisure Assistant (Sport Centre) you will beproviding administrative and coordination support to the Head of Faculty and programme teams.You will act as a front of house contact for visitors to the Sports Centre.  Main Duties and Responsibilities Administration To provide efficient administrative support to the Head of Faculty and programme teams within the specified areas and provide support to other areas at specific times as directed by the Head of Faculty.To check the status of all sport centre related equipment (including first aid supplies) and ensure all equipment is present and in a good state of repair.  To liaise with staff to ensure equipment is available to support curriculum activities.  Liaise as necessary with suppliers to repair/maintain equipment.Maintain and review diaries and assist the Head of Faculty on a day-to-day basis with planning and using time effectively to maintain a consistent level of management within the Curriculum Area.To keep appointments and visits as well as other key dates for the Department such as assessments, revalidations, inspections, exhibitions, visits by external verifiers and moderators.Organise, collate, track and file incoming and outgoing mail.  Curriculum Development To take on project work as required by the Head of Faculty to improve aspects of Curriculum or service delivery.The production and updating of course leaflets in liaison with the Head of Faculty and Curriculum Leaders or other specified staff, and ensuring that adequate stocks are maintained.Provide information and assistance as required to Curriculum staff on administration procedures, the use of forms, etc.Develop, maintain and review effective filing systems, paper-based and electronic, for the storage and prompt retrieval of curriculum information, e.g. to mange the Curriculum Area’s Registration system.Liaise with both students and employers regarding student work placements, administering DBS application forms and checking the correct insurances are in place etc.  Learners and Enrolment Work closely with the Head of Faculty and other relevant staff to implement and maintain systems for the timely and accurate recording of targets for enrolment, attendance, retention and achievement of students; ensuring the data collected are communicated to the relevant staff.Assist as required during the enrolment process, for example scheduling interviews, assisting visitors and enquiries as appropriate, and to create and maintain an enrolment database.To maintain appropriate course files, student files, etc. and to implement new procedures as necessary.Ensure that efficient and consistent systems are followed with regard to, for example, student disciplinary information, and complaints.The potential to undertake some gym instruction with individuals or groups as appropriate.  Other To undertake any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as may be determined by your Line Manager from time to time, according to the needs of the Business.To review this Job Description at least annually with the Head of Faculty through the College performance management scheme.
