We are excited to offer a Band 20 Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy post across our Physiotherapy outpatient clinics within South Gloucestershire. This will offer an opportunity to work within musculoskeletal field working alongside other Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists and Extended Scope Practitioners.The musculoskeletal outpatient team provide assessment and treatment of adults with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions; these may be acute problems such as post-fracture or surgery but also chronic conditions such as low back pain. We also run a number of education and rehabilitation classes. In this post there will be support from experienced specialist clinicians, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to service improvements and for personal Continuing Professional Development. The South Gloucestershire service is based at Cossham Hospital, Yate Westgate Centre and Thornbury Hospital. We are looking for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists to provide physiotherapy assessments and treatments and be flexible to work across our South Gloucestershire service. The successful candidate will have supervision and mentorship from specialist physiotherapists. They will be responsible for mentoring and supervision of Junior/band 19 Physiotherapists, physiotherapy technicians and Students. The post holder will: -Work well as part of a team and have the ability to relate well to people; to show genuine warmth, kindness and understanding towards individuals who need our care and support is essential.Provide a high standard of evidence based physiotherapy to patients and include a comprehensive assessment, clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to analyse and provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition.Formulate an accurate prognosis and recommend the best course of interventionImplement effective goal-orientated treatment programmesBe professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work and adhere to National, Professional and Organisational standards and guidelines.Contribute to service development work and implementationDeputise for the team lead physiotherapist.
