JOB PURPOSEFantastic opportunity to join our Planning team based in our Headquarters in London. The Planner will be responsible for planning & forecasting the Global Business, reporting & analysis of their product category (specifically Accessories), creating and maintaining effective cross-functional relationships to drive the division in support of business strategy.     RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for detailed category sales, margin & inventory plans to support delivery of the 3 year Product Division strategic plan.  Responsible for bottom-up sales, margin & procurement forecast to deliver seasonal fashion & replenishment targets. Responsible for all related reporting & analysis for the product category and to support all Divisional reporting & analytics.    Pre SeasonResponsible for the development and “shape” of category plans aligned with Merchandising strategies/initiatives and reconciled with Regional Seasonal Plan to deliver the Global Seasonal Plan - including global review and analysis of key product & category metrics. Responsible for detailedanalysis, forecastingand cost targeting as it relates to Supply Chain to drive demand planning (production capacity forecasts & RM pre-commitment) driving profitability and mitigating investment risk. Responsible for all RM forecasts and to make pre-buy proposals based on Global Sourcing critical path for the product category.  Responsible for all FG unit forecasts or forecast consolidation at each level of the product hierarchy to material & SKU level (where appropriate). Responsible for analysis, parameters (assortment size, price point & flow) and recommendations related to the development of seasonal range plan and Brand Buy for the product category.Responsible for replenishment as it relates to the product category (process enhancements & best practice) global forecast management, RM positioning HUB inventory management. Responsible for making seasonal FG placement proposals (inventory investment) and all related reporting & analysis.Responsible for product category margin analysis and target setting. Responsible for financial analysis and strategic input to pricing architecture for the product category.   In SeasonResponsible for product category FG inventory placement proposals, management, and reporting of HUB Free Stock and (future) all replenishment inventories. Responsible for in season inventory reaction proposals (investment & exit) based on retail and wholesale forecasts & in collaboration with the cross-functional team to maximise all sell in/out opportunities for the product category. Responsible for proposing product category markdown & delist content & timing.   Reporting and AnalysisResponsible for standardised and ad hoc reporting & analysis required to drive Product Division strategy as well as day-to-day decision-making. Responsible for driving seasonal hindsight analysis and milestone meetings, ensuring a consistent, global understanding of business performance and future opportunities. Candidates must be used to presenting seasonal strategies and confident to deliver to a large forum.Supports the Divisional Senior Planning Manager/ Planning Manager in all presentation analysis and preparation.  PERSONAL PROFILE ·         Experience of working in the luxury goods environment, specifically within the Accessories category, both Soft (Scarves/ Hats/ Gloves) and Hard (Bags/ Small Leather Goods) Accessories·         Knowledge of trade in a Global Business (with insights at a regional level i.e. EMEIA/ Asia/ Americas) ·         Strong forecasting skills both at Line & Category (WSSI) levels; able to summarise both to a Regional and Global view using key retail metrics including Sales/ WOC/ Sell-Through/ Inventory Turn/ Margin·         Experience of owning and delivering strategic Seasonal Plans for Accessories·         Expert in Raw Material procurement, managing long lead time products and minimising financial risk·         In-depth knowledge of Demand Planning both short and long term, and Global Inventory Management of Accessories·         Track record of managing and understand complexities of Vendor relationships and Supply Chain critical paths·         Proven ability of managing end to end Product Life Cycles·         Experience working cross-functionally with Merchandising/ Supply Chain/ Global Sourcing and Product Development teams·         Candidate to have had previous exposure presenting high level strategies to Senior Management Teams including VP of Global Planning/ VP of Regional Planning/ Chief Merchandising Officer or equivalent·         Minimum system skill requirements: SAP/ PowerPoint/ Advanced Excel with experience managing and manipulating large quantities of data  SALARY: Competitive salary packageCLOSING DATE: Saturday 2nd June 2018 View full job description
