Job Description: Integration of Air-Breathing Propulsion Subsystems onto Guided Weapon Systems Role and Responsibilities: Provide support to the APL Bristol Proximity Manager, Propulsion Technical Expert and Project Chief Design Engineers as required Responsible for planning, conducting and reporting on the air-breathing propulsion design, study and test related activities across a number of projects Support the design of the air-breathing propulsion subsystem by working with the appropriate project teams to understand requirements and liaise with suppliers to identify the solution Conduct research into ways of improving the integration of air-breathing propulsion subsystems onto guided weapon systems Conduct research into the prediction of future trends in guided weapon air-breathing propulsion technologies Ensure the propulsion subsystem solution meets the requirements of the projects taking into consideration factors such as operation over a large envelope of speed, temperature, altitude whilst meeting cost, mass, volume and safety requirements...View full job description
