The Role·        Responsible for interpreting demand/forecasts into an operational Production Plan and supporting the execution of the plan, in order to achieve high levels of service, on time delivery and customer satisfaction.·        Plan and issue production schedules using MRP and supporting systems to meet shipping dates, according to sales forecasts or customer orders in line with manufacturing lead times, ensuring BOM availability.·        Alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions through an agreed process.·        Identify and work with Production to minimise constraints, with the support of the Planning Manager.·        Responsible for maintaining inventory levels including safety stocks highlighting/challenging changes in demand patterns.·        Managing short term and long term demands to maintain level workloads within production where possible in line with agreed rates.·        Co-ordinate priorities between multiple departments.·        Update KPI’s where required.·        Attend daily meetings to discuss issues which may affect schedule and work with relevant departments to resolve any issues.·        Participate and contribute to the weekly Planning Meetings.·        Identify and assign turnover/SSPL at every opportunity.·        Run Line Availability/SPIC and update on a daily basis.·        Investigate root cause analysis material shortages/late customer orders.·        Develop strong working relationships with Manufacturing, Process, QC and other departments to ensure the efficient flow of products through production.·        Full support and involvement in BPI and Lean Processes including being trained in the tools and participation in workshops when required. The Person·        Previous production planning experience.·        Must have experience using MRP systems.·        Must have the ability to identify and prioritise issues, detail conscious.·        Strong written and verbal communication skills, to efficiently interface with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Process, Quality Control, Customer Service and Warehouse.·        Good computer literacy, ability to use other Companysoftware systems and general administration skills.·        Ability to work to deadlines and use own initiative.·        Health and Safety awareness.·        Maintenance and contribution to 5S disciplines.·        High level of numeracy and good conceptual thinking skills.·        Cover for other Team Members during absence.·        Diploma in the Institute of Operations Management is preferred but not essential.·        Team player with a focus on achieving customer and quality results, while supporting other members of the team as required. To apply please call Daniel Keenan on 0191 350 6092.
