Delivery of departmental strategy and business plans Train, develop, coach and support team members (including CI tools and techniques) To support the operations team in the development of Standard Operating procedures (SOP's) in order to maximise performance To ensure all plant and processes are maintained in a safe working condition and ensure that all CI activity is conducted in a safe manner To work with members of the management team and colleagues to ensure best practice is adopted To communicate effectively with all levels of management, shop floor and outside contractors where necessary To eliminate loss through continual improvement of people, processes and plant aiming for zero loss state To drive improvements in data capturing and utilising information effectively Responsibility for developing and managing CI work using the lean principles (5s, audits, notice boards etc) Development and implementation of CI strategy for department The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong supervisory skills and technical knowledge when dealing with work standards and production issues, and be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills...View full job description
