Overall Purpose of the Job: Expro Wireless Well Solutions (WWS) has the vision to be world leaders in down-hole wireless communications. The global business unit, based in Ringwood, Hampshire, carries out a variety of Research and Development activities to enhance the company's product range. The Project Manager - Development is responsible for the planning, monitoring and reporting of all WWS R&D projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget and meeting demanding performance requirements.Principal Accountabilities:To fully support and comply with Expro's Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures.To produce project plans for all WWS R&D projects to ensure that they are executed within cost and time budgetsTo monitor WWS R&D project activities and progress, including costs, against project plans, co-ordinating project tasks to maintain priorities and propose corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on time and within budgetTo report WWS R&D project's technical progress and financial status monthly, and more frequently if requiredTo co-ordinate completion of proposals for new R&D projects, including technical requirements, outline plan and project finance.To maintain project documentation and records.To organise and attend project meetings, including design reviews, ensuring that meeting minutes and actions are recordedTo facilitate the compilation and maintenance of project risk registersTo facilitate, for relevant projects, generation of Requirements Specifications and technical submissions for nEXt proposalsFor customer funded development projects, to attend meetings with clients to discuss requirements, proposals and project progressTo monitor changes in regulations and technology that may affect operations and advise WWS Management on any product development arisingTo act as Line Manager for the Engineering Support Team including developing the technical capability within the team.To carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested by the Technical DirectorJob Knowledge and Qualifications:At least five years Project Management experience with demonstrated success in delivery of projects of more than $250k valueAt least five years experience of New Product Development and ImplementationExperience of producing and presenting proposals for new projects including financial justificationMembership of APM or equivalent (desirable)Degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or related disciplineMembership of an engineering institute (desirable) View full job description
