Our strength lies in the quality of our people and we employ those who share our aims. Project Worker – Temporary position for up to 10 monthsWeston Foyer, St Ives Rd, Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset£8.82 per hour (rising to £9.28 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)37.5 hours per week - shift work to include weekends and bank holidays Why work for us?We support vulnerable people to live as independently as possible, by building their confidence and skills to realise their potential.We are a national organisation but we think locally. We support people through supported housing, move-on accommodation, CQC registered services and floating support. We specialise in services for young people, homeless families and individuals, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and people with mental health needs.We are seeking a Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our clients. We have 3 Young Persons Supported Housing Projects in the Weston area that offer housing related support to young people aged between 16-25 years old to gain independent living skills. If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, this is a fabulous opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.The role of Project  Worker will include:* Providing a safe accommodation for clients with experience of homelessness* Assessing and idenitifying clients unmet needs and  refer them to relevant agencies* Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients, actively encouraging choice and involvement.* Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided to enable/empower our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence* Drawing up and maintaining relevant written records* Actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as advocate when required* Assisting tenants to resolve or prevent housing debts that impinges on their ability to pay for their housing* Providing assistance to claim and manage housing benefits and offering advice and in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditionsSkills and experiences:* A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements* Experience of dealing with anti social behaviour affectively* The  ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be enhanced* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel or similarTravel is a requirement of the role; therefore a full, current driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.Ready to join us?As part of our commitment to making Sanctuary a great place to work, we offer you access to a range of great employee benefits and the opportunity to develop and progress within your career.
