Are you a newly qualified nurse unsure which specialty to specialise in or a qualified nurse looking to develop a career in Acute Medicine? We are looking for highly motivated qualified and newly qualified staff nurses to join our newly launched Shining Stars Acute Medicine Rotational Programme. The programme is an exciting 18 month rotational programme consisting of 6 month placements; within a Medical High Care Area Emergency Assessment Unit, Medical High Dependency Unit or our Heart Care Unit, a Specialist Medical Ward and an Aging and ComplexMedical Ward. Due to popular demand for A&E and Critical Care you will also have the option for a further 6 month placement in either area. You will be joining an organisation that is committed to becoming the safest organisation in the NHS and a divisional team that are committed to delivering the highest levels of patient care. You’ll be inspired to build on our impressive track record of improving outcomes and experience for patients and their families and will gain invaluable experience to develop your nursing career pathway within one of our medical specialities. You will have an interest in Acute Medicine and a willingness to develop the clinical skills and competencies to become an advocate in your field. Your portfolio of clinical skills will equip you to progress into a competent and skilled Senior Nurse. In return we will ensure that you will:- • Join our outstanding preceptorship programme newly qualifiednurses only • Be fully supported by the Practice Development Team, Senior Nursing Team and Specialist Nurses throughout the 18 month programme • Develop advanced clinical competencies within each placement and receive a Certificate in Acute Medicine based on the Trust’s local competency framework • Additional bespoke study days • Develop clinical leadership skills • Be fully supported by a mentor in practice who will support your learning and development • Be part of an energetic team of other rotational nurses who will learn and grow together • Be best placed for a future career within your chosen specialty If you are newly qualified nurse, we will pay your NMC registration fee for the first year and pay you at Band 4 until you receive you NMC PIN.
