Specialty Registrars ST4-8 and Clinical Fellows in the Paediatric and Adolescent Division and neo-natal team plus on-call commitment, on a 1 in 10 shift rota We have exciting opportunities for Registrars ST4-8 to join our busy Paediatric and Adolescent Division at UCLH from March 2018. In addition, there are opportunities for Registrars ST6-8 or equivalent only or those that have done neo-natal intensive care previously to work in the neo-natal team within the Women’s Health Division. There are a range of potential posts with flexibility to suit applicants. These roles are within both General Paediatrics and the Children’s and Young People’s Cancer Service; applicants have the option to work in areas of specialist interest including allergy, asthma, infectious diseases, oncology, haematology, haemaglobinopathy, epilepsy , neonatology and adolescent medicine. The majority of the posts are fixed term for 6 months, with an out of hours commitment. The successful candidate will enjoy the same working practices and identical training opportunities as any deanery trainee. There may also be opportunities to rotate into other paediatric sub-specialities at UCLH. Our Paediatric and Adolescent services are based across two floors of UCH hospital with 77 beds in total, including a dedicated Young People’s Unit for patients aged 13 -19 years old. We also provide emergency services for the local population and have a dedicated area within the Emergency Department to see paediatric patients as well as a large paediatric and adolescent outpatient department. We are passionate about providing excellent clinical care alongside the best training opportunities. You would join a highly motivated team at the cutting edge of both service development and academic research. The department has received positive feedback for the many training opportunities offered both in clinical and non-clinical areas including leadership and management skills.
