The group provides detailed analysis and insight on over 650 companies in the region which informs asset allocation decisions and investment strategies by the firm’s clients. The Equity Analysts communicate their investment thesis on the corporates under coverage through frequent publications, client visits and other means. The European Banks team is responsible for the coverage of major financial institutions. The team is part of the wider Financials industry group which also encompasses Insurance and Real Estate coverage. You will develop and maintain models on over 10 corporates in the pan European region and provide support to the group in optimising its coverage footprint. You will be responsible for covering the Swiss Banking sector, demonstrating attention to the integrity and robustness of data models. You will also be responsible for creating and detailing analysis of the overall sector and writing sector strategy pieces.  Key responsibilities: ·         Using publicly available information to assess and model the financial performance and strategy of the companies in the European and Eastern European Banking sector and then form a view on the relative and absolute valuation of each company·         Determining by reference to the theoretical valuation and market price a Buy, Sell or Hold rating on the stocks under coverage·         Helping institutional asset managers decide which companies are worth investing in and which are worth avoiding ·         Writing research notes on the European and Eastern European Banking sectors with specific responsibility for covering the Swiss Banking sector·         Calling and meeting with clients and companies·         Creating a product that provides a top down overview of the Central and Eastern European Banking sector Skills and Qualifications: ·         Experience covering the European Banking sector and experience with key drivers of the industry with a specific focus on Switzerland·         Detailed knowledge of the European financial market regulations and the impact of changes in those on the operating models for Banks in the region·         Strong knowledge of global Banking businesses including Equities and Fixed Income sales & trading, advisory and underwriting·         Proficient in the global asset & wealth management industry·         Experience of key regulatory frameworks including Basel, European Central Bank, European Banking Authority stress testing and asset quality reviews ·         Strong understanding of macro themes given inter-relationship with the Banking sector·         Ability to write in depth company and industry research·         A track record of idea origination and generation and the ability to convert that into commercial research for clients·         Strong interpersonal skills which enable you to convincingly market your ideas to the internal and external client base·         Some experience of Initial Public OfferingsDeutsche Bank is an equal opportunity employer who seeks to recruit and appoint the best available person for a job regardless of marital / civil partnership status, sex (including pregnancy), age, religion, belief, race, nationality and ethnic or national origin, colour, sexual orientation or disability.Please let us know if you require any adjustments to enable you to apply or attend an interview.
