New Band 6 rotational OTs will work across more than ten different specialties, within acute and rehabilitation services. You can develop specific and advanced clinical skills and knowledge alongside a breadth of experience. Sited in the heart of the diverse, vibrant and cultured south west London St George’s offers Inner London Weighting and starting salaries for newly qualified Band 6 OT’s of £31,562 upwards. Being co-located withthe UK’s only university dedicated to medical and health sciences education working at St George’s opens doors to a wealth of training and research opportunities, CPD and new learning approaches offering a unique chance to shape and lead change.Our AHP consultants, clinicians and support teams work together on innovative, patient-centred new models of care, service redesign and exciting new ways of working. From digital technology such as apps to empowering more patient self-management and virtual clinics, we are open to change and want you to help us.As an integrated Trust, you will work in a multi-disciplinary therapy service, led by AHP consultants, with a strong focus on patient experience and evidence based practice. Band 6 Occupational Therapist rotations comprise; • Frailty Short-stay Unit/ Integrated Care• Acute Medical Rehabilitation/ Neurosciences • Ortho-geriatric Rehabilitation, includingfragility fracture and major trauma• Senior Health and Complex Care• Renal Medicine / Cardiology• STAR Team Admission avoidance and Therapy intervention in the Emergency Department and the Acute Medical unit• Oncology• Major Trauma &Orthopaedics, including inpatient Plastics• Hand Therapy• Vascular surgery including amputee rehabilitationYou will enjoy peer support and supervision programmes, in-service training, as well as access to multi-professional clinical specialists in a wide range of clinical areas. You will be able to develop your advanced clinical skills, knowledge and leadership. All rotational staff are encouraged to participate in service development, research and audit in addition to supervision of students and junior staff. The multi-disciplinary therapy team provides a high quality therapy service over 7 days. You will be required to participate in a weekend rota aligned to yourclinical area which involves working a weekend shift once approximately every 6 weeks including compensatory rest days.The Trust is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of their staff and offers a number of innovative programs alongside onsite hospital facilities; restaurants and coffee shops as well as other local amenities, a gym and easy access to public transport.
