Provide a high standard of customer service, thus maintaining the good reputation of Axis Security.  Role Requirements:We seek to fill these roles immediately - 6 months probationary period. We are currently looking to fill security support positions that have become available for our client’s contract. Security Support Officers (to cover day or night shifts) – Varying hours.  £8.90 - £10.25 per hour, depending on site and position being covered. Paid monthly.  We are seeking applications from experienced Security Officers who hold SIA DS or CP licenses to work at our client’s sites in Central Birmingham. Flexibility is essential to ensure we meet our obligations.   The role requires the people selected to have excellent personal communication, presentation and basic IT literacy. Successful candidates will be provided with uniform and relevant site training for any specific tasks they are given. They will carry our any reasonable requests made by Senior Managers or our Client, as well as providing any assistance required to members of staff and colleagues.  Our Security Officers are required to comply with the ‘Assignment Instructions’ to provide a safe and secure environment. They must show a high visibility security presence, but also have a warm friendly welcoming manner to all who attend the site. Please state on your application your ability to work days or nights or either.   Specific Duties Successful candidates will be required to do the following (all varying dependant on the role):-          Communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written-          Work on their own or as part of a team-          Comply with directions/instructions from site supervisors/managers-          Work on reception/front of house duties-          Work inside buildings or outside in all weathers-          Provide site visitors with advice, guidance and information, answering any questions and queries-          Assist in premises evacuations during an emergency, ensuring the safety of all-          Report faults, defects and any issues of concern to the relevant management-          Be physically fit as some sites require staff to be standing for a number of hours-          Comply with Assignment Instructions and Health and Safety policy-          Always arrive for shifts on time, booking on duty in the required manner-          Take designated breaks for the prescribed time and no longer-          Only smoke in designated smoking areas and never on duty-          Do not chew gum, use personal telephones or lean on buildings giving an unprofessional image  To be suitable for this role you must meet all of the following criteria:-          Be smart and well presented at all times ensuring footwear is polished and clothes are smart-          Have an DS/CP SIA licence (CCTV licences and First Aid certificates are a bonus)-          Be polite, helpful and diligent, with a ‘can do’ ethos-          Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal -          Be able to provide the highest standard in customer service-          Have previous experience in the customer service / security industry-          Be flexible and reliable to meet the role requirements-          Have a calm personality capable of controlling difficult situations -          Be able to work without supervision and also as a member of a team-          Have a full five year checkable work history and current valid passport  Documentation that must be provided by the applicant upon request: -          SIA DS/CP Licence-          Full current valid passport -          Visa (if relevant)-          Bank Statements with account number, sort code and address-          Proof of address (such as a utility bill)-          Proof of National Insurance Number-          Details of 2 personal references (that must not be relatives or live at the same address)  Please read very carefully as before applying for this role you must: 1.    Be confident that you will be able to undertake 100% of all the specific duties. 2.    Meet ALL of the criteria listed in this advertisement.
