THE UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL  FACULTY OF HEALTH AND LIFE SCIENCES INSTITUTE OF CLINICAL SCIENCES SCHOOL OF MEDICINE STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER GRADE 4 (PART TIME)  £20,411 - £23,557 pa (pro rata) You will be a key member of the Undergraduate School of Medicine’s Professional Services team, with responsibility for providing administrative support for the School’s Stakeholder Engagement Programme, which incorporates student-focused communication and activity, as well as specific activities focused towards external stakeholders and staff. The Stakeholder Engagement Programme aims to address the needs of each of the School’s main audiences: current and future MBCHB students, external NHS partners, SoM staff and wider University staff groups.  Working with the Student Engagement Lead and the Communications Officer, you will provide administrative support in order to enable them to ensure that all communications and engagement activities are optimised and support the School and University’s strategic objectives.  The stakeholder engagement programme has a focus on digital communications, but also includes a significant amount of event planning, organisation and management. The postholder will also provide administrative support for the peer mentor scheme in the MBCHB programme. The peer mentor scheme is aimed at providing student-on-student support for years 1 to 5 of the MBCHB programme and works alongside both central university and School specific support mechanisms for medical students. All first years participate in the process as mentees and can then opt in to the system as mentees and / or mentors in the following years. The scheme is managed in accordance with guidance from the GMC (General Medical Council). You will ideally have experience in planning, organising and managing events for a variety of audiences, be used to liaising with multiple suppliers and contributors and be able to communicate with different audiences appropriately.  In addition, experience in communications, which may include web page input or design, e-newsletter creation or design, use of social networks and other multimedia channels would be an advantage. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a positive attitude, creative flair, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills. You should have 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language The postholder will be a member of Professional Services and will report to the School’s School Administrator. Note that the post will involve occasional evening and weekend work, where stakeholder engagement events are scheduled, such as awards evenings, alumni events etc. Some flexibility in working pattern will therefore be required.
