ENGIE are recruiting for a Security Officer to be based in London, SW1H 0ET. This is a permanent full time role working 60 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £27,612 per annum, and benefits package. The normal working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 07:00am until 19:00pm.  Reporting in to the Lead or Deputy Lead Officer/Security Manager, the role will require you to undertake corporate security duties at Government and other buildings where ENGIE have contracts to supply services.  Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:Protect premises against unauthorised access or occupationProtect property against destruction, damage and theft Effective checking required ID, controlling and registering vehicle/pedestrian movementsEscort and monitor contractors or visitors to site Guard against assault and/or injury that might be suffered as a consequence of unlawful conductIn line with assignment instructions, maintain a check on the perimeter and external areas of the site checking for intrusion, fire or floodIn line with assignment instructions, conduct regular, highly visible patrols of the site on the perimeter boundary and lockups when necessaryEnsuring a correct response and reporting of any incidents or occurrencesKeeping up to date with security guidelines Ability to communicate well at all levels Highly motivated and capable of multi-tasking, coupled with a team player attitudePro-active approach to learning and developmentBe able to stand unaided for a period of 1½ hoursBe able to pass a security clearance processRemain flexible to being deployed at any of the positions throughout the contractTo carry out all work as requestedWill be expected to make sure that all their working areas in these premises are kept to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety and presentationReport to Security Management team any maintenance issues that may arise with any security equipmentBe used to working under pressure, problem solve and to use their initiative when necessary Ensure to follow all company systems and processesObserve the site rules and maintain a smart appearance and wearing the companies uniform at all timesBe responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH laws or regulations to make certain that all company Health and Safety policies, procedures are adhered toBe proactive and creative in improving current best working practises, while following the company safety proceduresBe prepared to perform any other reasonable duties as requested by Lead Officer / Security ManagerBe willing to deal with individual customer requests in a polite and professional manner at all times to exceed the customer’s expectations.Provide support to the wider Security Team within this contract.Maintain a positive on-site relationship with customers and be aware of any potential or existing customer dissatisfaction or circumstance and ensure that Lead Officer / Security management are suitably informed in a timely mannerAct at all times in the best interest of the business to further good relations.For more information about ENGIE please visit: Qualifications or Required Experience:  SIA Frontline, valid licenceExperience working within security industry, ideally in a corporate environmentGood Timekeeping and attendance recordAn outgoing personality with strong customer service focusGood Team PlayerProven experience of delivering a high quality service with an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate those expectations to the rest of the team to achieve the same high standardsFor this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
