He/She is responsible for building, designing and implementing highly scalable and usable data structure and web services. As a core member of the team, he/she will collaborate with a diverse group of project managers, designers, engineers, and infrastructure teams to build and deliver robust back-end solutions. They will have a unique opportunity to mentor other engineers, and your strong knowledge and expertise in web development will be key in aiding the team.The Senior AEM Back-end Developer is fully capable in delivering user stories end-to-end and is highly-skilled and experienced in Java/JEE and industry-standard agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. He/She has a complete understanding of the software development life cycle, and is familiar with the Attlassian suite including Jira and Confluence.Key responsibilities Develops and implements websites, back-end web services and applications within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) using Java/JEE, JCR, OSGi, Apache Httpd;Hands on technical role; contributes to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, and QA;Works with stakeholders to understand and document software requirements, and ensure application meets functional requirements;Participates in troubleshooting problems;Collaborates with stakeholders and software engineers on architectural topics and to refine and improve the user experience;Build internal backend knowledge base by documenting best-practices, templates, standards and internal policies;Mentor peers to enforce backend development best-practices and consistency across projects. What are we looking for?To be successful in this role you will need demonstrable experience of delivering excellent back-end design implementations in a fast-paced environment. You will have solid knowledge of AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) and MVC/Rest build techniques. You are able to produce clean, semantic Javacode and unit tests at industry quality standards, with live code to demo. You have fluency in native Java, and familiarity with the latest JEE frameworks and techniques, as well as object oriented, MVC and naming conventions.You have advanced knowledge of Rest APIs and JCR repository, and web container such as OSGi. You have experience of build tools such as Maven and Gradle and experience with Nexus or Artifactory.
