enjoyable place to work    Together We Make a Difference Purpose The purpose of this post is to assist the Head of Development in achieving an active development programme in accordance with its development strategy, and in full compliance with Orwell’s policies, procedures and standing order rules, as well as the Homes and Communities Agency regulations where relevant. The post holder will be involved in all initiatives undertaken by the Development department and will provide a client-focused service.  They will have a wide, strategic understanding ofclient’s commitments and requirements, and will provide a pipeline management and project management service. The post holder will have overall responsibility for a portfolio of new schemes, managing themfrom pre contract stage, through to the development delivery team for post contract delivery, and onto contract completion. The postholder will also be responsible for providing line management supervision to Delivery Team Officers as well as operational supervision on delivery matters, resolving more complex issues as they arise on development projects. Key Responsibilities Main duties can be summarised as principles of the Equality Act 2010. 2.0                  Training and Development 2.1 To attend staff meetings and seminars and individual support and supervision with the Team Leader. 2.2To attend and participate in training courses which have been identified as statutory or essential for your role and keep up-to-date with legislation and best practice. Duties Main duties can be summarised as follows: 1.1To have overall responsibility for project managing development schemes within various client programmes. 1.2To provide a pro-active development service to clients and ensure that the differing requirements of clients are met. 1.3To liaise regularly with and ensure all stakeholders are updated on the progress of schemes. 1.4To assist clients in assessment of risks when considering new developments and to manage the transition from new business into thedelivery team, including providing regular reports to new business colleagues and clients on the progress of schemes. 1.5To liaise with other departments throughout Orwell and other clients, and consult on specific development issues where appropriate. 1.6To ensure the implementation of Orwell’s policies and procedures in all aspects of development. 1.7To produce regular reports to the Head of Development on scheme progress and costs against budget. 1.8To ensure development schemes across the programme attain high standards of build and quality, and comply with HCA designs standards where relevant. 1.9To brief Delivery Team Officers on new developments and to supervise Delivery Team Officers to ensure high levels of customer service are provided to clients and other stakeholders, to ensure up to date forecasting and IMS claims, and that other audit and compliance requirements are met. 2.0To provide expert advice and assistance to Delivery TeamOfficers when required on projects and provide solutions to ensure developments are delivered effectively and efficiently. 2.1To monitor the performance of appointed consultants and contractors appointed on behalf of clients.   3.0 Health and Safety 3.1To comply with Association Health & Safety policy, and to carry out activities in a safe
