- C or C++- Linux/Unix environment - Open-Embedded build environment - OO and real-time software design- Requirements capture, specification writing and system design- Test design and documentationAdvantageous Skills:- Experience in the telecoms field - Subversion source control system - Network based communications (GPRS, HSDPA, TCP/IP)- Serial based communications (RS-232, RS-485, CanBus, USB) - ARM Hardware Platform (ATMEL SAM9 Microcontroller)- Electricity industry protocols (ModBus, DNP3, IEC60870, IEC61850) In return for your skills and experience you can expect to receive a starting salary in the region of 30-40k depending on your suitability and experience.
