If you’re motivated to make your own progress, you can move your career in any direction.We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Onboard Project ManagerLocation – DerbyRole:The Project Manager acts within the boundaries of the contract with the full power of the Division President’s authority to deliver the object of the contract to the customer and to deliver the targeted margin to Bombardier.They will lead the project and cope with the unique challenge of continuously focusing on a pro-active approach, which will insure the project is delivered within budget, deadline and expected quality.To this effect, the Project Manager leads the Project Core Team members in the successful completion of their assigned tasks, making sure that all Core Team members have sufficient financial and reporting governance and that all risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated.Key Responsibilities and Challenges:• Responsible for the WBS, Detailed Project Schedule, JDDP, Customer Interface, Risk & Opportunity Management, Project Improvement Management, Project Launch (including the Orange Book), Change Management and Contractual Obligation Management, Budget allocation and monitoring, Project Reporting internally both status and financial performance.• Lead and coordinate all aspects of the design, implementation, testing and commissioning required to deliver the scope of the engineering project so as to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to the project time plan.• Responsible for the integration of the scopes of all involved entities/sites.• Coordinate execution of engineering activities, CCB, take decisions regarding technical issues, control against project requirements• Establish and maintain interfaces with other Engineering departments & with relevant functions (Project Management, System Owner, EAPD, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Bids, etc).• Monitor, control and report monthly all product related aspects of the project consistent with the contract requirements and established project management procedures to attain established goals• Continuously optimise Project Engineering processes/tools/behaviours by considering business requirements, customer needs, technical innovations, and new market conditionsQualifications• Bachelor degree in Engineering or proven relevant work experience.• Proven relevant experience in the delivery of large, complex engineering projects.
