The main Terms and Conditions and employment are available via the same link.RequirementsThe St Andrews Older Peoples Team are based at St Andrews Community Hospital, a modern multi-disciplinary environment, ideally suited for innovation and development of high quality, effective approaches to working with this client group.The Senior Practitioner in St Andrews will carry a reduced caseload, including the more complex and at-risk clients, provide support to qualified and unqualified staff within the Older People’s service, as well as assisting and deputising for the Team Manager.Support for other team members will include, in particular; support with Adult Protection work / decision making and staff training / development.Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.The IndividualSuitable candidates will have a Diploma in Social Work or equivalent. You must also hold (or gain prior to a formal offer of this position) an accredited post-qualifying award e.g. Certificate in Adult Protection Studies, Mental Health Officer Accreditation, Practice Teacher Award, etc.Significant post-qualifying experience of working with Adults and/or Older People in a statutory social work setting and, in particular, of undertaking duties under Adult Protection legislation is required for this position.
