Salary £34253-£38615 per annum (£18.77-£21.16 per hour) Temporary full time position for 2 years35 hours per week Days of work: Monday-FridayTo start asapWe are looking for an experienced social worker who has a particular interest in the monitoring and review of service users receiving statutory services whilst promoting resilience in people to enable them to live at home and to access opportunities in their communities for as long as possible.The ideal candidate will possess specialist knowledge of social work practice in adult services and be registered with the SSSC. The post holder will also have the opportunity to contribute towards the development of SDS processes with the Team, to embed SDS across and out with the organisation. You will have a working knowledge of assessing and reviewing needs, as well as experience and commitment to working within the values of Social Work and a legislative framework. A key aspect of the role will be to promote joint working, integration and co-ordination of services across the partnership which aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our daily functions and our staff.The successful candidate will be expected to have good communication skills (both verbal and written); the ability to assess and review the needs of individuals; to prioritise workloads; case management; to manage your time effectively; meet challenges and use initiative. You will have negotiation and problem solving skills; the ability to build good, trusting relationships with supported people, colleagues and other professional staff; and be an effective team member.The successful candidate will also be expected to fulfil the requirements of the Council Officer duties under the Adult Support Protection Act and will participate in a range of social work related duties and rotas.Job DetailsTo provide an advanced level of practice that ensures appropriate services are provided to meet client needs within the department’s statutory obligations and departmental policies and procedures.
