Rethink Mental Illness have been appointed to deliver psychological therapies IAPT step 1, 2 and 3 interventions within HMP The Mount. HMP The Mount is an adult male, category C prison and has a capacity of around 1025.We are looking for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to provide high volume low intensity evidence based psychological interventions, provide line management and clinical supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Health &Wellbeing Coaches, and also support the High Intensity Therapist in the overall running of the service. In this role you will:Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service and make decisions on suitability of new referrals.Provide assessment and Low intensity interventions e.g. psycho-educational interventions, Guided Self Help, drawing from CBT theories and techniques.Undertake person-centered interviews identifying areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others. The successful candidate will:Have successfully completed an academic course of study in line with the IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and be qualified as a PWP e.g. Post Grad Diploma in Psychological Therapies.Have completed or be in the process of completing the IAPT supervision training.Have significant post-qualification experience in offering and delivering the full range of evidence-based IAPT low intensity interventions at Step 2.Have knowledge of assessment procedures, screening, referral, record-keeping and evidence-based brief psychological interventions.Have experience of working in a supervisory role.
