Our client, a reputable well established business who is based on the outskirts of Shrewsbury is looking to expand their team and have an exciting position for a Senior Sales & Purchasing Coordinator.The Senior Sales & Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day administration activities with an emphasis on purchasing activities within the business. It will require a proactive candidate with excellent attention to detail, strong prioritisation and self-motivation skills and the ability to work under pressure.The role will involve, but is not limited to:Managing procurement of all domestic, external products and servicesMaintaining, developing and documenting supplier relationshipsManaging and monitoring non-conformance and goods returnsManaging, developing and documenting relationships with current and new outwork providers including stock control off siteReducing costs and improving value through improved business process and relationship building with suppliersCreating and maintaining product information on SAP – code creation, prices, stock minimums, units of measure, lead times, packing specifications and data sheetsData analysis to convert and produce sales and activity information to identify areas to improve and streamline business activitiesProviding Sales support where necessaryMaintaining an excellent, well organised and presentable working spaceThe successful candidate will have at least two year’s purchasing experience and be able demonstrate a good level of numeracy and IT literacy – you ideally have a degree, preferably in a maths, science, engineering or business subject. Experience of SAP Business One and all Microsoft Office Packages would be beneficial.You must be happy to take on extra responsibility and work seamlessly between the sales and purchasing activities of the business with the potential to manage a small team in the future.
