At present, we are looking for several talented, passionate and ambitious developers to join our growing community in the UK based in the Croydon head office.Responsibilities:We have several developer roles available from entry level through to more experienced senior developers to contribute to our Smarta web based products.Smarta is a collection of Ruby on Rails service applications with a HTML/CSS and JavaScript based front end. We are currently in the process of transforming our architecture to adopt a more modulated set of smaller services alongside an Angular front end.Whilst experience of working with Ruby and Angular is highly desirable, it’s not essential as a combination of on the job training and self-study me is provided. We would however expect you to have a proven understanding of robust programming practices, including the use of solid design principles and design patterns.You’ll be joining an existing team of highly skilled and driven individuals, working together to form customer focused agile Kanban teams, employing Test Driven methodologies and continuously shipping code to production.We’re working on several exciting new projects as part of our move to a wider range of tools and services which will sit on top of container based, service oriented architecture, building smaller, deployed services that can be deployed regularly as new features and improvements are written. On the front end, we’re using the latest web technologies (Angularjs, HTML5, CSS3, ES6) to drive a consistent look and feel across all our products, whilst improving the development experience. The addition of ideas and experience from talented individuals will help us to shape these projects. Furthermore the current business roadmap includes expansion into Europe and other regions which will involve linguistic and localisation skills.Successful applicants will be working in a fast-paced Apple Mac environment using the latest technology to develop highly scalable, high quality, high availability and secure web application following all the latest web technologies and processes.As senior engineer you will be reporting directly into the Head of Engineering and will be responsible for existing product support as well as leading the implementation of new feature development including: setting delivery expectations for other teams/management; scheduling test and quality assurance.What’s needed?Qualifications:Individuals with a passion for developing world-class SaaS application together with eagerness to constantly improve their skills and abilities.
