To produce quality food to menu specifications for on-site food outlets and functions  as required. Successful candidate will have full responsibly for all aspects of the kitchen when Head Chef is absent, maintaining the required high standards. Motivating the kitchen staff to achieve targets and maintain a high standard in the Chefs absence. Creativity and enthusiasm for good food and its presentation is essential. An understanding of budgetary control and elements of catering costs will be essential. To work with the Hospitality Management Team and undertake training to deliver projects that will develop food production, management & customer service. To undertake a training programme in accordance with the role. To take responsibility for the adherence & compliance of all food hygiene legislation.Specific RequirementsExperience within a similar role is essentialCity & Guilds 706 level 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ or relevant experienceBasic Food Hygiene CertificateGood communication and customer care skills  Ability and experience to instruct other staffAble to work under pressureNVQ Level 1or 2 in Food production or equivalentNVQ Level 3 or equivalent would be highly beneficialOn occasion we receive significantly more applicants than expected for some vacancies and under such circumstances we reserve the right to bring forward the closing date of the advertisement.
