YARD OPERATIVE (PLANT HIRE)Position: Yard Operative - Start as soon as possibleInterviews will be held immediately. The RoleThe position is working outside in the yard and stores of a busy depot near Iver and is a key post in the day to day running of this branch. You will organise, monitor and control the goods inwards and outwards areas.Experience of working with computerised stock control and data input would be an advantage. Training will be provided to operate a fork lift, weld, plasma cut and maintain/repair stock items.You will also need to be able to operate a fork lift, weld, plasma cut and maintain/repair groundwork/formwork for which training will be given.Salary, Benefits & HolidaysSalary will be £7.85 p/h at 40 hrs per week + O/THolidays: 25 per year plus bank holidays The CompanyOur client is a major UK organisation that specialises in plant hire and construction equipment and due to major growth and expansion are looking for additional staff within their yard operations.Responsibilities of the Yard OperativeTo work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude to customer serviceControlling and inspecting of stock and liaising with the purchasing departmentTaking delivery of stock and allocating it to the correct areasMaintain Health and Safety standards within the departmentLiaising with workshop and mobile engineersGeneral labouring dutiesGoods in/outRequirements for the Yard OperativePC LiterateExcellent communication and organisational skillsAdaptableFlexible attitude to daily tasksThe ideal candidate will be located in either of the following areas; High Wycombe, Amersham, Iver, Beaconsfield, chesham, Watford, Rickmansworth, Denham, Slough, Hillingdon, Ealing, Staines, Windsor, Bracknell, Egham, Woking, Esher, Heathrow and surrounding towns and villages.
