Lead Support WorkerPermanent, Full Time average of 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis.Salary starts at £17,000 to £18,500 per annum rising to £23, 000 per annum through performance. Plus Sleep in Shifts of £35.00, we will also pay your mileage to and from these locations of 45p per mile. It’s a passion, not just a job Our great people help make us the best and through their true passion, commitment and enthusiasm, deliver aspirational support to our clients every day.   We are looking for energised and passionate Project Workers like you (known internally by us as a Support Co-ordinators – Level 3) to join our team in Ipswich, but you will also support within Suffolk, Lowestoft and Beccles area.  This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with existing team’s, services and with a wide range of customers providing staffing cover such as holidays, sickness, training and cover for vacant posts. You will liaise closely with the Managers of these services to arrange your place of work and shift pattern on a monthly basis, it may be necessary to work at an alternative location at short notice.   Our services are across our supported housing and hostels where our customers have varied and diverse backgrounds. Together we will really make a difference, empowering our customers who have a wide spectrum of diagnosis primarily mental health but who may also have a mild learning disability and a dual diagnosis of alcohol/substance misuse issues.You’ll develop their independent living skills as outlined in their support plans to enable them to successfully move on to independent living, with a positive future. As we provide 24-hour support to our customers every day, you’ll work on a rota basis and will be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We have a variety of services and deliver a range of alternative services such as respite, assessment, short-stay (admission prevention) and homelessness.    A bit about you We want someone like you, who strongly believes that providing support is more than just a job and can make every customer feel valued. To flourish in the role, you will be a dedicated person who can demonstrate compassion, empathy and creativity in your approach and use your unique skills in enabling customers to reach their full potential. You’ll be able to lone work and be a team players whilst understanding the need to follow policies and procedures.  You will help shape our services, undertake risk assessments, support planning, have a great understanding of professional boundaries, safeguarding, confidentiality and be experienced in case management. As a Level 3 Support Worker you will require the skills necessary to be able to take on and manage a caseload of customers in a colleague’s absence, working closely our amazing team of Support Workers in delivering person centred support.  We know that one size doesn’t fit all, so our customers lead their own support every step of the way. It’s also important that you work in holistic way, building partnerships with external agencies and have strong IT skills too. It’s really important to us that you have time to what you are really passionate about; making a real difference to our customers lives.  So to free up your time, you’ll be provided with the latest IT kit, which could include a Surface Pro tablet and smart phone, supported by our new online integrated IT system.  We need you to have adriving licence, car and car insurance business cover as the location area is wide and you must be willing to travel and cover for the full business area. If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.   You’ll be impressed with our fantastic rewards and benefits package.  Click and find out more… A bit about us We’re Home Group one of the UK’s biggest providers of high quality housing and care and support services.  We’re also one of the largest developers of new homes and providers of houses for affordable rent.   Want to apply? Great, all you need to do now is upload a covering letter and your CV.
