Job Role Description We are currently looking to recruit one Female Floating Support Worker in the Tameside area working 30 Hours per week on a permanent basis. If so, you will be interested in: - Arts - Crafts - Activities You will be part of a team supporting a number of individuals all with varying interests. This post is best suited to applicants who would be interested in supporting people within their own home. You will be motivated and have the enthusiasm and drive to support people with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues to enjoy a full and exciting life You will provide individualised support in a positive, non-judgmental and creative way that enables the people we support to make informed choices in their daily lives Required Skills & Experience Due to the needs of the person/s supported a Female is required for this role. * Good communication skills both verbal and written * Able to use own initiative, and work as part of a team * Have the flexibility to work a varied shift pattern to provide 24 hour support Relevant experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided Salary & Benefits Full Time equivalent is based on a 39 hour working week or a monthly equivalent of 169.5 hours £11,732.18 per annum Closing date 22/02/2018 We offer excellent team working opportunities and you will be working within these teams linked to a service for supervision. As a key member of our team, you will be offered the opportunity to learn and develop during your time at AFG. Beginning with an extensive Induction Programme, moving to Support Essentials training and where applicable, speciality training in such areas as dementia, autism and epilepsy. Furthermore, upon successful completion of your probationary period, you will be given the opportunity to study for a vocational qualification relevant to the role you are undertaking via our internal qualifications assessment centre.
