Support Workers Newcastle- Male only“Passionate about working together to provide specialist services.  Real people providing real support to make a real difference”KEYFORT are currently looking for caring, motivated individuals to support adults who have disabilities, live at home and require support up to 24 hours a day to live a full and independent life.  ·         £8.00-£8.50 per hour after training.Double Pay for bank holiday working.·         Paid Care Certificate Training and DBS check.Full time & Part Time hours:24 hr shift (including sleep in night) 8am- 8am 12 hr day shift 8am – 8pm12 hr waking night shift 8pm – 8amGuaranteed hours contracts available. Permanent Rolling Rota, working with the same Service User(s) week to week.·         On-going support, training and development opportunities. Our team of Support Workers perform a vital role in ensuring that our service users are supported safely, in an effective and caring way that is responsive to their own individual needs.You will be providing flexible support services to service users in their own home(s) with a range of physical and/or psychological needs, for example, neurological conditions, brain injury, spinal injury, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs. We are looking for Support Workers who have a caring and person centred approach and great communication skills.  You must also have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, be reliable and honest, with a respect for privacy and confidentiality.  At KEYFORT we believe in providing person centred care and support, all of our support packages are designed for the individual – so no two are alike. Support NeedsThe service user is a wheelchair user with decreased mobility and difficulties with communication.  He requires support for most aspects of his life for personal care, daily living tasks, including overnight support.  We also provide PEG care and Tracheostomy care to ensure he receives his required all medication, fluids and nutrition.  You will be given clinical skills training by an RGN, as well as on the job training from an experienced support worker until you feel comfortable to go solo. The service user requires staff who are understanding and approachable so that he can discuss any issues or feelings he is experiencing.  He likes to laugh and joke with staff and responds very well to appropriate ‘banter’.You will be part of a team providing the service user with continuous 2 to 1 24 hr support.  We are looking for support workers who can commit to the same sessions on a week by week basis to provide our service users with consistent and familiar support.Sessions are agreed in advance as a rolling shift pattern.  All staff on this case are expected to cover some waking nights and weekends, and flexibility is required to support colleagues to cover absence and holidays.Once you are confident on your first case, there will be opportunities to work with other individuals. TrainingFrom your first day you will be paid to go through our accredited training course which includes the care certificate alongside bespoke elements designed to help you provide a world class service.Each of the individuals we work with have their own training programme which they have often helped to design. After you have completed this you will receive on the job training from an experienced support worker until you feel comfortable to go solo.
