At Cornerstone, we all work together to make a positive difference to people?s lives. When I am frustrated, I may present physical challenges. I need my staff team to remain patient and calm when I feel like this. There are protocols in place to help staff manage this which keep us both safe, and I hope that staff never take my behaviours personally as this is just a part of who I am. Communicating with me is everything as this reduces my frustration. It is important that staff use social stories and scripts which will help me to process information as my understanding of the world around me can sometimes be overwhelming.I am looking for consistent, patient and positive people to join my team; I have a great sense of humour so you should have to support me to achieve my goals, to encourage and support me to maintain my independence and to have an enjoyable, valued life.At Cornerstone, we provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, so you should be prepared to work evenings, weekends, waking nights and public holidays on a rota basis. Although it would be great if you already have an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 (SVQ Level 3), this isn't essential if you're bringing values that match ours and are prepared to work towards gaining this qualification. Join us now and be an innovator! Based on a highly-successful Dutch model, Buurtzorg, Cornerstone has an ambitious aim to revolutionise social care by introducing local self organising teams.
