Students make consistently good progress across the wide range of academic subjects on offer and all subjects in 2015 were above or well above the national average at key stage 4.Your new role In your new Maths teaching job you will enjoy working within a secondary school situated in the Crawley area and will specialise within Key Stage 3 and 4. You will begin working in September 2017 and will work for a minimum of 1 term. You will teach KS3 and 4 Maths. You will be responsible for developing the students and guiding them on ways to improve. You will plan and prepare lessons, as well as setting appropriate homework and coursework and have regular contact with students. Working as a Temporary Maths Teacher for Hays will also allow you to have access to a number of partnership schools that would be inaccessible by any other means, and you will be given the opportunity to focus on teaching in the Key Stage you specialise in.What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this Secondary Maths Teacher role you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables.
