Date posted - 01/11/17Closing date - 30/11/17Location – City of London, LondonSalary - Competitive salary and benefits packageApplication - Candidates should apply via the attached advert linkCollinson Group is looking for a Technical Architect to join our Lifestyle Benefits business based out of London office in the City.Your role will see you at the forefront of designing and implementing high quality systems to meet the needs of Collinson Group. As a Technical Architect, you will be expected to work on a range of activities from upfront pre-project work in business development to leading a team working on specific implementations.This is a very exciting time to join the team due to the fact the business is moving through a digital transformation and creating new microservices and API led products to drive the company’s propositions forward.Key Responsibilities:• The technical architect will work closely with senior management to work on new business development ideas. Balancing innovation with reuse to find commercially viable solutions. • Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet business requirements, considering scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, flexibility, availability and manageability• Able to construct conceptual and logical architectures from business requirements using standard tools and techniques for modelling• Responsible for defining technical architectural requirements for inclusion in development programmes• Lead on Component based Architecture principles and ensure solutions are maximized for reuse, applying SOA with Web Services via RESTful APIs, on Apigee API Management Platform. • Working with Group Architecture to define Standards and Principles to be used across development teams and promote architectural strategies; Ensuring TDD, BDD principles are being implemented.• Research and advise on evaluation and selection of new technologies, tools, frameworks, data solutions, cloud solutions, platform as a service solutions, 3rd party products and services which could enhance CTS technology delivery capabilities.• Working with Business and Technology to estimate, plan and cost technical projects. Providing estimates at a high level pre-project, and reviewing estimates on an ongoing basis once the project is inflight.• Working to Agile principles and practices to assist project management in preparing projects, prior to full team involvement. • To coach and mentor team members. Ensuring the team understands language/framework capabilities, and best practice in terms of architecture, design and development. Knowledge, skills & experience required:• IT Degree Qualified Desired• Proven C# .Net Technical Architecture experience on complex projects in a software environment • Proven C# and Java experience in a software environment• Knowledge and experience of agile methodology for project delivery• Demonstrable experience of utilising SOA, Micro-services, Web Services and AWS• Demonstrable experience in delivering Process Improvements across Architecture tasks• Experience of Architectural Frameworks (TOGAF, Zachmann)• Experience of working across multiple delivery organisations practising distributed development in a global  B2B2C environment• Experience of working multi-disciplined development teams, including external vendors and agencies providing services for projects• The ability to demonstrate through examples, the effective management of stakeholder relationships at all levels internally and externally• Experience of RestfulAPIs, WebAPI or Apigee API Management Platform highly desirable • Experience of projects in Travel, Insurance, Loyalty and Benefits sectors highly desirablePerson Specification:• Ability to thrive in a fast moving and changing environment• Ability to show initiative and to work independently• Ability to work at pace, work through project challenges in a collegiate way • Goal and outcome orientated• Ability to bridge communications between technical and business focussed groupsCollinson Group:Collinson Group is a global leader in shaping and influencing customer behaviours to drive revenue and value for clients.
