FINTEC recruit is seeking a Technical Support Specialist for our client delivering communication systems development, integration and consultancy services to a variety of sectors. This is a permanent position based in Glasgow. The salary is £34,000 - £39,000 plus benefits including healthcare, life and critical illness insurance. The principal purpose of the role is to deliver specialised application and solution integration support to a diverse customer portfolio of complex multivendor multichannel contact centre and business communications solutions Responsibilities * This role requires a person who is technically advanced in a number of products and considered a technical authority in one or more products. The job holder is developing towards subject matter expertise across specialised skill sets * To provide advanced 2nd and 3rd line technical support to remediate service affecting incidents and to fulfil internal and external service requests * To maintain a consistently high degree of customer focus applying your analytical and customer management skills to understand and meet customer expectations * To capture and analyse support requests from customers, colleagues and monitoring tools to accurately define, categorise and prioritise support requests * To coordinate and deliver technical investigations with the support from the Service Desk, other 2nd line internal and external third party resolver groups within escalation timelines * To review and update existing technical design documentation to support service delivery and to support the transition management process * To identify more innovative ways of working that create increase effectiveness Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor’s Degree Qualification in Computing Science/Software Engineering or relevant experience * Previous experience and solid capability in a 2nd / 3rd line Support role within a demanding and customer focused environment * Proven capability in support / administration environments supporting and maintaining bespoke and/or 3rd party software applications * Good knowledge and understanding of ITIL specifically problem, change and incident management processes * Application development aptitude/familiarity (using Java, .NET, etc.) * Working knowledge of web application technologies Requirements * Analytical mind set with logical and methodical approach to problem solving * Excellent spoken and written English * Team player Full details of the role on application.
