Operating on the Telefonica UK mobile network & utilising Tesco’s multi-channel Retail distribution capability, the business has grown over the past 10 years to become the largest MVNO in the UK market. Tesco Mobile’s legal team forms part of Tesco’s wider UK legal team and is responsible for: advising the Tesco Mobile management team on strategic projects and the governance of the joint venture as well as implementing and monitoring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.The successful candidate in this role will lead on the design and implementation of a robust best practice Compliance Monitoring Programme to ensure that Tesco Mobile is compliant with the FCA requirements on consumer credit and insurance.It is also imperative to ensure both regulatory requirements and business policies germane to Tesco Mobile's products and services are communicated, understood and adhered to across the Tesco Mobile business including sales and customer channels.Main ResponsibilitiesImplementing, communicating and evolving Tesco Mobile's FCA Compliance Monitoring ProgrammeLeading the rollout of new business policies and the implementation of new and existing business policiesIdentifying, assessing and briefing senior management on risks associated with businesses processesManaging compliance queries and reported breaches via a centralised processIdentifying and partnering with business assurance teams to establish unified compliance metrics and outlookCollating, reviewing, and presenting, key compliance metrics to the TM Executive Management Team Keeping abreast of best in class compliance and governance practicesWatching and briefing on changes to the FCA requirements around the provision of consumer creditDeploying compliance training on key policies and proceduresImplementing and managing TM's mystery shopping activities and resultsIdeal CandidateSound knowledge of FCA regulations - training can be provided.A successful track record in leadership of a compliance programme from design to implementation for a heavily regulated commercial organisation of similar scale and complexity is essential.Operational Skills:Familiarity with various compliance modelsExcellent communication skillsStakeholder managementInfluencing skillsPrioritization and Multitasking skillsInnovation skillsRelevant Experience:Detailed knowledge of FCA requirements around: TCF, Approved Persons Regime, Supervision and Reporting, Complaints Handling, SIF Functions and MLRO.Track record of implementing and evolving compliance monitoring programmesAbility to communicate to senior managementAbility to be positive and progress solutionsAbout the CompanyAt Tesco, the customer is at the heart of everything we do.
