The Specialised Commissioning directorate of NHS England takes a consistent approach to central planning of specialised services which is delivered locally. It works to raise the standards of care for all patients receiving treatment for rare and specialised conditions, ensuring that patients have equal access to services regardless of their location.Health and care commissioners and providers across the South of England are required by NHS England to submit a Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) detailing how the organisations will work together from 2016/17 through to 2020/21 in order to ensure the clinical and financial sustainability of health and care services. There are five Specialised Commissioning STP footprint covering the 13 STPS across the South of England, South West, Wessex and South East. Developing and implementing the Specialised Commissioning strategy through the 13 STPs in the South will involves extensive partnership and stakeholder engagement within the context of a complex environment and emergent policy. The governance of the programme will be monitored and steered through the Specialised Commissioning QIPP delivery arrangements with sign off arrangements at South Specialised Commissioning SMT.  2017/18 Specialised Commissioning QIPP schemes have been developed, as well as a finance base case projecting the financial challenge local organisations will face by 2020/21 should the status quo be maintained. Four priority areas of focus have been identified through the QIPP Control Centre, and workstreams need to be mobilised for each of the identified priorities. The priority areas identified are Adult Critical Care, Cardiology, Cancer and Pharmacy. Further priorities are emerging from the clinical and finance base case and this role will support the strategic development and identification of future QIPP schemes, working with STPs to deliver in year schemes.As a Transformation Delivery Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Specialised Commissioning South Region to deliver QIPP schemes across their local systems, identify and work up potential future schemes and system wide strategy.  The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well co-ordinated Transformation service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.This South East post is offered on a full time, 2-year fixed term, basis or secondment opportunity and will be based out of the South East Specialised Commissioning Office at York House in Horley, but this may be negotiable the role will focus on the Brighton health care system. Key to successful delivery will be entirely dependent upon having the right people in post; those who are influential, committed and have initiative to spare – if you feel you have both the skills and determination to fulfil this challenging post – Specialised Commissioning wants to hear from you. This advert closes on Monday 1 Jan 2018 View full job description
