Job Title: Web Developer OverviewAerotek Design Limited based in Bristol is one of the leading software providers looking for talented Web Developer experienced in the Implementation methodologies and processes. The role will be as a Web Developer, you will play a pivotal role to design new web solutions, modify, enhance or adapt existing systems and integrate new features or improvements, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.You must have a high level of technical expertise and clear insights into current business practices. Depending on the employer, clients may be internal, e.g. departments within the same organisation, or external.Your role is to liaise between and report to internal and external clients, project managers and stakeholders, including colleagues and testers, throughout the development process.You will conduct a cost analysis and agree the timeframe to implement the proposed solution. You specify and shape the system requirements and operations, the user interface and also presenting proposal to the clients. ResponsibilitiesWork activities also depend on the size and nature of the organisation and the focus of clients' business demands, but typically involve:Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practice Integrating data from various back-end services and databasesBuilds websites to client specifications by writing code, designing pages and widgets, and incorporating graphics and video elementsDetermines the best plug-ins and applications to provide websites with new features and functionality, and installs them accordinglyAssesses website security and installs updated software to ensure that websites and client data remain secureDevelops knowledge of website accessibility standards and legal requirementsAssists clients with publishing content by proofreading, editing, and posting text and graphics·     Responsible for the design and management of all creative and technical design projects·     Ensure every design produced, whether it’s a banner or new website template, delivers an effective experience across desktop, mobile and tablet·     Oversee the design of all mobile apps     ·       Tests websites using a variety of browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox; and debugs as necessary·         Maintains fluency in one or more programming languages, such as HTML, CSS·         Maintains websites by checking for errors, broken links, and hacking attempts·         Using SQL(Structured query language) to investigate bugs and test features of website and all online content.·         Responsible for development, enhancement and management of the website and online content·         Liaise with clients to collect briefs and ensure all work produced meets their standards·         Regularly checking for any server issues and regularly updating online product range and determine necessary updates or website repairs·         Mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.Desirable skillsExcellent HTML5 and CSS3 knowledgeA good understanding of UX/UI and knowledge of PHP would be an added advantage.An extensive portfolio which demonstrates your professional experience with responsive design, typography, UX/UI design and your creativity Top-notch  and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSSAdequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development.·     A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practicesLocation of the Job: Bristol – Head officeYou may be able to work flexibly or from home and willing to relocate within UK to client’s premisesaccording to the project need.Current client location to start work include Reading/Edinburgh   Educational qualification, experience required: The successful applicants should be graduates with a 2:1 degree level qualification and relevant IT qualification.
