Business Development Manager | South West Qualification:Field sales experienceKnowledge of car parts Experience / Duties:  Job Title:Business Development Manager Reports to: Sales Manager “As the Business Development Manager you are specifically accountable for delivering Sales and Margin growth for your customer base. As the expert you are responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships within your target customer base. Responsibilities:Fully responsible for all sales, margin and customer service levels within your assigned area focusing on the following: ·         Creating strong leads and opportunities for Specialist Business Development Managers.·         Identifying existing, lapsed and new business opportunities within branch specific geographical areas. Your role will include delivery on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) as set out within performance contracts and in agreement with the Sales Manager and Head of Business Development. Targeted Responsibilities:You will be responsible for conducting customer account reviews with the branch management team on a monthly basis focusing on: ·         Monthly spend·         Margin·         Credits·         Terms·         Maximising key product group opportunities·         Potential spend and business opportunities·         Seasonal Product Groups  Required skills:·         Able to develop sales strategies and tactics within your required territory tailored to deliver growth within the customer’s specific product groups.·         Proven ability to communicate effectively with Branch, Regional and Senior Management.·         Able to build strong relationships with suppliers, field based trainers and product managers.·         Able to effectively analyse management information systems and sales data.·         Commercial awareness, strong awareness of competitor activity and market conditions.·         Able to influence the branch management and sales team.·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.·         Entrepreneurial attitude and a good team player.·         Strong training and presentation skills.·         Able to work under pressure and deliver on deadlines.   View full job description
