Employer: Impact ApprenticeshipsDescription: This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an Activity Co-ordinator Apprentice to join Kirkby Manor and provide a vital support role to the residents. You will be using your creative imagination and working with the Activity Coordinator to create and perform crafts, quizzes and exercises to be enjoyed by elderly and dementia clients who need their minds stimulating. In time you will learn how to; • Organise activities such as – Quizzes, Bingo, Gardening, Crafts, trips out, cooking, hairdressing • Organise celebrations • Organise special events such as summer fairs, garden fetes, Christmas parties, reminiscence activities and resident meetings • Organise personal bespoke activities for clients in particular those with mental health concerns • Carry out risk assessments with assistance • Photograph events in the home and display • To act in a professional manner at all times • Update any documentation that may be required i.e. Care Plans After 6 months you will be considered for a bonus and pay review.
