Plant OperatorLocation: Diss, SuffolkShift pattern: Rotating shifts (days and nights) with overtime Prospect succession career with a great progressive companyOur client is a busy Industrial Plant located near Diss. They boast great working culture and long term succession prospects.The main job role is to assist in maximising plant performance and electricity production by optimising and ensuring continued availability of the machinery in a safe and responsible manner. It is a requirement of the job to work on shift (Operations) and off shift (Operations, Maintenance, etc) in rotation with the other Plant Operators.Key features of the job:- Plant OperationOperate all of the systems in the power plant to ensure efficient and reliable operation, including but not limited to; bottom and fly ash handling system and ash bins, wet ash skips and deliveries of chemicals and gas oil/kerosene.- Plant Performance MonitoringCarry out regular tours of the plant to ensure it is operating correctly, reporting any irregularities to the relevant personnel.- Plant MaintenanceCarry out maintenaince tasks and cleaning duties, as per schedule.- Fork Lift Truck OperationOperate the Fork Lift Truck for the transfer of ash containers, spares, goods, ect.- Overseeing of Suppliers and ContractorsOversee Suppliers of consumable goods to ensure the Company's interests are maintained at all times.
