LOCATION: Friesthorpe, Lincoln JOB TITLE: Residential Care Support Workers SALARY & BENEFITS: £14,759 per annum WORKING HOURS: 38 hours a week, 3 week rolling rota to include weekends THE COMPANY: Our client is one of the UK's leading independent special educational needs schools offering a homely and safe environment for children and young adults with severe learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, autism and global development delay. Based over 12 sites across Lincolnshire and with 2 schools this position will be based at the Friesthorpe school site. THE ROLE: Due to expansion an opportunity has become available for Care support Workers to join the team based at the school in Friesthorpe. The role will involve supporting the residents on a daily basis assisting with personal care, hygiene, meals, education and day trips. Working in a designated team you will help maintain a stable, happy, and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of the children and young adults first. Due to legislation this role would require you to be over the age of 23 years. Key Responsibilities to include:- Providing help and support to residents Providing personal care and hygiene Assisting with meal times Providing guidance to residents Helping with educational activities Participating in day trips THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have a qualification within Health and Social care although this is desired it is not essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate. There is an option for career progression with funding provided to complete Diploma Level 3. You will need to have a caring, patient and compassionate nature and a professional manner at all times. All applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and a driving licence would be beneficial to the role. Key experience essential for the role: Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous A qualification in Health and Social Care would be desirable but training will be given if needed to the successful candidate offering career progression and an opportunity to gain a Diploma Level 3 A caring and compassionate nature Good level of patience Basic GCSE or equivalent education A Full UK Driving Licence would be desirable Willing to under take a full advanced DBS check Does this sound like you?
